How to Measure Open Loop Bracelet Size?
|
|
|
Step 1 To measure your wrist, wrap a flexible tape measure or a plain strip of paper just below the wrist bone, where you would normally wear a bracelet. |
Step 2 Mark where the two ends of the paper or tape measure meet. If using paper, measure the length of the strip with a ruler. This would be your wrist size. |
Step 3 To find your bracelet size, match your wrist size with the appropriate measurements from the bracelet chart below. |
How to Measure Close Loop Bracelet Size?
Step 1 Close your fingers together, joining your thumb with your smallest finger (as pictured). Imagine you are fitting a bangle over your hand.
|
Step 2 Wrap a flexible tape measure or a plain strip of paper around the most prominent part of your knuckles (as pictured above), and mark where the two ends meet. If using paper, measure the length of the strip with a ruler. This would be your wrist size. |

Figuring Out Your Bracelet Fit
Online shopping is convenient, quick and easily accessible. Yet, some shoppers worry they will mistakenly order the incorrect size and will be disappointed in the fit of an item. At GURHAN we’ve developed a bracelet-sizing chart, pictured below, based on your actual wrist size to alleviate any guessing. The only issue will be deciding which bracelet to buy.
Bracelet Sizing
There are many bracelet options out there to suit your individual style, but it’s most important to get the right fit. You’ll need to measure your wrist using either a tape measure or a strip of paper.
The Open Loop Bracelet Method
Wrap the tape or paper slightly below the wrist bone. Either note the size on the measuring tape, or mark the length of the piece of paper and compare it to a ruler to get the correct measurement. You may find your bracelet size using the chart below.
Using a Closed Loop Bracelet Size
Touch your thumb to your pinky finger as if you were fitting your hand into a bangle. Wrap either a piece of paper or pliant measuring tape around the circumference of your hand, as shown. Record the number on the tape or measure the length of the paper strip to determine your wrist size. Then match the measurement to the bracelet chart.
Generally the optimal length of a bracelet will fall about a half an inch (10.5cm) longer than your wrist circumference. Often link bracelets may be adjustable by closing the clasp to a tighter link, as with GURHAN’s all-around 24k gold bracelets. Using care, metal cuffs – such as GURHAN’s pointelle gold bracelets – may be slightly adjusted as well to achieve the perfect fit.
